Although the photographer was clearly concentrating on the Cierva Autogiro VH-USR in the foreground, he has also recorded the stored wing of Anson VH-AGG on the hangar wall in the background and the fuselage in the rafters above. This is evidently the Adastra hangar at Mascot as the Anson at right is an unidentified Adastra aeroplane. The withdrawal of VH-AGG dates this photo at circa 1948-50. Photo: Barry Admans
