An AiResearch survey crew occupy their downtime at a mining camp on Horn Island while the cabin door from Hudson VH-AGO dries out in the sun. While out in the 4WD shown in the photo, Tony Dewey found the wreck of VH-AGO in half a metre of water 50 metres offshore. The cavity in the door was designed to contain a jettisonable life raft. The interior of the door originally featured a domed cover for the raft but Adastra would have replaced this with a flat cover which, although damaged, is still in place. The flat exterior cover has presumably corroded away. Scott Tomlinson on the left and Steve Darvenisa on the right. Photo: Tony Dewey
