Bunny
Hammond being farewelled at Kingsford Smith Airport on 13th April 1962
by flying veterans of two World Wars. He was lifted into a makeshift
aircraft fitted with a lawnmower engine and towed out of the Adastra
hangar just like a retiring Admiral being rowed ashore. The aircraft
was created by the Adastra hangar staff supervised by Jack McDonald
(Chief Engineer) in photograph in white shirt to Bunny's left. (See
also Album No 2 image K1).
